Hello, I'm Deep Kulkarni, a Mumbai-based production designer with a passion for creating immersive cinematic experiences.

An applied art graduate and postgraduate from the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Under the guidance of industry stalwart Sabu Cyril, I delved deeper into the intricacies of production design, learning from one of the best in the business. His mentorship has been invaluable in shaping my approach to design and nurturing my creative instincts.

From Student Projects to International Recognition:

My foray into the world of filmmaking began with my FTII student project, the short film "Gaarud," which garnered international acclaim with a screening at the esteemed International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR).

A Portfolio of Prestige:

With a diverse portfolio spanning both Pan-Asian and Bollywood cinema, I've had the privilege of contributing to some of the biggest blockbusters in the industry. From the grandeur of "Baahubali" to the visual spectacle of "Shivaay," from the romance of "Half Girlfriend" to the whimsy of "Jab Harry Met Sejal,"

Independent Endeavors:

In addition to my work in mainstream cinema, I've also ventured into independent filmmaking with projects like "Harami," an Indo-American feature film where I had the opportunity to showcase my creative vision on an international stage which was screened at the 25th Busan International Film Festival

Exploring New Frontiers:

As the landscape of entertainment evolves, I've embraced the world of streaming platforms, collaborating on acclaimed web series like "She" for Netflix, "Ghar, Waapsi" for Disney+ Hotstar, and "The Magic of Shiri" for Jio Studios. Currently, I'm immersed in the exciting world of web series, with upcoming projects like "Pill," produced by RSVP Movies and created by the visionary Raj Kumar Gupta.

For me, production design is more than just a profession—it's a journey of storytelling, where each set becomes a canvas for imagination to flourish. Through deepscapes, I invite you to explore the visual tapestry of my creations and witness the magic of design come to life.
